2012 여수박람회 국제관 눈길

2012여수세계박람회가 핵심 전시시설이자 최대 전시시설인 국제관 지붕에‘다도해의 파도와 섬'이 자리잡았다고 26일 밝혔다. 국제관은 안개 낀 파도 속에서 보이는 다도해의 섬들을 형상화한다. 물결 모양 지붕(베르누이)과 3개의 큰 섬 11개의 작은 섬으로 이뤄져 있으며 작은 섬들은 별도의 구조물로 만들어 크레인을 통해 지붕 위로 끌어 올린다.
작은 섬 하나당 무게가 13톤에 달하며 바닷바람의 영향을 최소화하기 위해 섬 양쪽에 통풍구를 냈다.
다도해를 건축적으로 승화시킨 국제관 지붕에는 박람회장 앞바다와 오동도를 조망할 수 있는 전망대가 설치돼 인기 명소가 될 것으로 기대된다.

 Many people all know that General Yi-Sun-sin was such a hero to our history. And, he invented a nice ship what we call as a "Turtle ship(거북선)". This was very useful during the war called Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592(임진왜란). However, one interesting thing about Yi-Sun-sin and Yeosu is that Yeosu was a place where General and his naval forces protected and gain many victories against the Japanese. So, Yeosu is having a festival to remember that, and also remember his great achievements. It is held in May 3rd to May 6th.
